Is there street parking?

Yes, there is free street parking located along N California Ave as well as W Altgeld St. Please be aware that certain times are busier than others and to allow time to find parking.

What is the closest train/bus?

California blue line, 94/California, 76/Diversey, 74/Fullerton.

Im not sure what kind of color service i should book, can I get a consultation first?

You can absolutely come in for a consultation if youd like. But before you reach out, fill out our consultation form HERE. We can generally steer you in the right direction by looking at the information you provide from that form (and save you a trip in the process!).

Before coming to your appointment

Do I need to wash my hair before I come in?

We recommend to have washed your hair anywhere within 48 hours of a color appointment so color can properly process on your hair. If you use product on your hair we recommend washing before you come in. You do not need to have clean hair if you are getting a haircut, a wash is included in the service.

Do you really have a no outside shoes policy?

We do! But Its only in the winter when salt/snow is on the ground though! We know it’s a little unconventional, but we’ve found that not allowing outside shoes during these times makes everyone’s experience more enjoyable. You are more than welcome to bring your own “inside shoes” but also know that we have a full size run of Crocs brand clogs (Crocs’ commitment to sustainability aligns with our and Davine’s values).

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also take exact cash. For safety reasons we dont keep change on hand.

Does my stylist accept tips?

Yes! All of our stylists accept tips.

During your appointment

Can I bring food/beverage to my appointment?

We encourage all of our guests to bring whatever they need to keep them comfortable for their appointment. You are also more than welcome to have food or beverages delivered to the salon.

Can I bring my friend/spouse/child to my appointment

We are an intimate space. You are welcome to bring anyone to your appointment as long as they are well behaved and can stay in our waiting area unsupervised. If they are not well behaved they will be given scissors and an energy drink.

Can I listen to my phone at full volume while getting my hair done?

Unfortunately no. We highly encourage the use of earbuds while in our space

After your appointment

How long should I wait to wash my hair?

We recommend waiting at least 48 hours to wash your hair.

How long should I wait to get my hair cut/colored again?

For root touch ups and on the scalp highlights we recommend no more than 8 weeks for maintenance. For balayage services we recommend every 12 weeks or once a season.

I just need my bangs trimmed.

You can book a bang trim with the stylist that cut your hair within 90 days of your appointment.
